I was meaning the user guides not the style and writer guides. Just wasn't thinking temporarily.

I was thinking about spelling and punctuation usage issues. But thanks for the general fill-in.

If you're aiming at second-language English readers it won't be good if we have spelling and grammar differences in the range of documents forming the user guides. I guess that the ubiquity of American spelling in computer documents makes it the most recognisable standard (says he, spelling in the Australasian manner).
