My name is Tim Murray, from Roswell, Georgia, and am a writer by
trade. I'd like to volunteer for editing (English). I would do
writing, too, but first of all I'm using NeoOffice, and second, I
don't know the product well enough. But in any case, well, here I
am.
3. Download and install the latest stable release of OOo
(http://download.openoffice.org/1.1.4/index.html). We use the stable
release for writing and reviewing chapters.
4. Download and install the latest development build (beta) of
OOo (http://download.openoffice.org/680/index.html). This is the
version we are writing about. You need it for testing and screen
captures.
I fear the two above link do not propose an OSX port.
Check:
http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/ooo-osx_downloads.html
But the problem is that 1.1.4 does not seem to be available. And it
does not show where 2.0 beta are available (I know they are somewhere
though since I have .93 in French...)
Is it acceptable to work with NO/J, which is based on OOo 1.1.4 ? It is
also my case :)
