Yes, with transparency. Just like the original image. This is
*precisely* what transparency was invented for. It's a good example of
why it really is a big deal that Microsoft hasn't bothered to properly
support a W3C standard even after all these years, and it proves that
Microsoft doesn't care about users who prefer to change their background
to read better.
I'm told that the new version of IE has fixed this problem (among
others). Eric (not a fan of Microsoft either) was commenting
today that he was glad to see they were finally doing more on
compatibility issues in IE. I'm not sure if the fixed version has
been released or not.
