All:

Here is the situation:

I have a 5 000 page document currently split into 33 sections of a
master document.

In theory, every two weeks I distribute an updated version of that document.
However, different people get different versions of the document.
*  Some people get some sections, but not others;
* Some people get some sub-sections, but not other sub-sections.
[They might get the material in sub-heading four, but not sub-heading
three.]

The upshot is tht it takes me three or four days tosave, and delete
the different editions that get distributed.

Question

Can I get the first heading of a Masterdocument section , to number at
the fourth or fifth level? [EG: "1.2.3.4: some stupid fourth level
heading" to be the first, and perhaps only heading in section.]

[I'd try this out, but OOo 1.1.3, 1.1.4, 1.1.5, and 1.9.125 have
decided that today is going to be "random crash day".] [I've had more
OOo crashes today, than in at least the last three months. And seen
more crashreport notice failures today, than in the lst year. (I don't
think any of them were successful.)]
