I've retracted and checked the IntroducingWriter

Thanks, Bill.
No, you don't need to upload it, since you didn't make any changes or notes. Sending an email to the list as you did is enough.

As for what status to put on the checked files, I've been thinking about the best way to handle this, so people know a file has been checked and doesn't need to be checked again. The only thing I can think of is to leave it as "visible" (the state it received when you retracted it), and Janet or I will move it to a new "final published" folder when one of us gets a chance to do a few last-minute things like removing the "Draft" notice in the header and making sure the chapter number is right, etc etc.

PS. Is there a particular guide / chapter that I
should work on?

I suggest you keep going through the Writer Guide chapters, either in order or randomly, whatever appeals to you. Skip any that are not in a published state, because that means someone else is working on them.

One other request: when you check out a chapter to review, please retract all three versions of the file: ODF, SXW, and PDF.

Thanks again for your help. The release of OOo2.0 is getting close (we all hope!), so it would be really good to get a few books done for the release or as soon as possible thereafter.

Cheers, Jean
