Hello everybody,
I just joined the OOoAuthors mailing list and like to present myself, as
a start.
I originally specialized in biological oceanography in France, worked on
coastal aquaculture in Vietnam and, since 1998, focused primarily on IT
use in science and education.
I started to use "computers" in 1975 but only in 1985 did I had my first
PC. I currently use Windows environment and Microsoft Office until the
1997 version, then since 2002, I started to use OpenOffice.org, first
with 1.1.0, then all subsequent versions until 1.1.5, and now 2.0, which
I both use in parallel with MS Office 97.
I recently (< 1 month) joined as contributor the vi.openoffice.org project.
My intention is to help developing base documentation for OpenOffice.org
in Vietnamese, which is a necessary step towards increasing the use of
OpenOffice.org by Vietnamese end-users.
For that, my first intention is to use existing documentation (English
and French) to have them translated, or adpated, to Vietnamese.
I hope this complies with the general goals of OOoauthors.
