I'm new to the group, and I'm sure this has been beaten to death (although I can't find it in the archives), but what's with sentence style capitalization of titles? The style guide sites/ The Chicago Manual of Style/; why not use proper capitalization, like the section /Writing Style/? I understand that sentence style capitalization is simple, but why dumb down the writing process? I've certainly never seen any real book with titles treated this
way.

Every book produced by Henztenwerke publishing uses sentence style capitalization, they require it.
Thinking in Java by Bruce Eckel uses it.
Prentice Hall Handbook for Writers uses it for all headings except for the highest level (so they use both in their book)
Looks like the O'Reilly books do NOT use it.
Slide Rule Simplified by the American Technological Society uses ALL CAPITAL LETTERS FOR ALL OF THEIR HEADINGS.
