Hello!!
My name is Alexandre Martins and my portuguese. For the moment I think
we're the only portuguese speakers "around".
Before starting any translation, I'm doing some reviewing against the
latest OOo versions so I can get the spirit and get a better knowledge
about the guides.
The main problem for a portuguese (pt or br) translation is that we need
much more volunteers. The writer guide alone is 395 pages, for example
(ok, maybe 300 for translation :-) )!
So for the moment I'm helping with the english versions, but if the
portuguese community gets bigger we could go for ti!
My interest for a portuguese version is for my pupils. In my school we
have a major use of free software and are know introducing it in our
curriculum.
