I've published Dan Lewis's expanded "Getting Started with
Impress" chapter, replacing the previous version on the
OOoAuthors website. I have not yet uploaded this to the Docs
website nor incorporated it in the full Getting Started book, and
probably won't get a chance to do either of those until I get
back to Australia this weekend.
Dan, I made some minor changes in the chapter and removed a
paragraph about the meaning of "Caution" and "Notes" because that
info should go into the book as a whole instead of individual
chapters. I put a copy of the chapter (with changes recorded
since your December version) in the Feedback folder, in case you
want to see what I did. And, as always, you or anyone can go
through the published chapter again and make further changes if
you wish or if you find mistakes.
Lastly, I put a copy of the slide show into the "User How-tos and
Tutorials" folder, only because I can't figure out where else to
put it! If you or anyone has a better idea, please make a
