I have noticed some questions in the [email protected] mailing list 
about the use of master slides (aka master pages or slide masters). Since 
these serve basically the same purpose as page styles in Writer, I feel they 
should have a prominent place in the Impress Guide.
     I am thinking that chapter 1 might be a good place. The location within 
this chapter might be the first topic in the Formating a presentation 
section. An introduction to master slides would come first. Then all of the 
style modifications should probably be spread throughout the rest of this 
section. For example, the Title style could be mentioned when the Title page 
construction is explained. Various levels of outlining could be mentioned 
where slides with text are explained.
     I am thinking strongly of writing Chapter 1 for the Impress Guide, but I 
need this clarification first.
