I've just joined this list, have only been using OO for
a month or so, and will be working a lot with Impress,
so that's an area where I'd like to contribute for awhile.
Welcome, Nancy! I have given you "Author" status. I am sure that
Dan and whoever else is working on the Impress Guide will be
happy to have another writer on board. Do check the outline for
the book, and don't be shy about asking questions or offering
suggestions.
I'm a veterinary acupuncturist and a financial planner,
living in the woods in northern California and working in
Los Angeles.
That sounds like a rather long commute!
First computer was an Apple IIc, and first internet experience
was Compuserve, before the World Wide Web.
Sounds like me. I started with punch cards, but my first
"personal" computer was an Apple II. And although I had a
university email address pre-Compuserve, my first "home" internet
experience was with Compuserve. I had a web site up through
Compuserve almost as soon as that was possible. Text only, of
course. Ah, nostalgia!
I write "how-to" and "all about" articles for pet owners,
and I've designed a few websites, so my dabblings should
come in handy here, I think.
I think they will come in handy.
Cheers, Jean
