Hmm... I was sure this was in the Writer Guide, but I can't find it either. I know I had written it up, because it's in my O'Reilly book, but somehow it did not get into the Writer Guide.
This info should probably be put into either Ch 2 or Ch3, each of which has some related information. Ch2 has setup info for the spelling checker, so perhaps it would go best there, and be cross-referenced from the part of Ch3 that talks about using the spelling checker. Comments and opinions welcome as to the best place for this info.
I think Rick answered your question about how to create dictionaries. If not, I can post here a copy of what I have written about creating, editing and using custom dictionaries, including exception dictionaries (a very useful tool).
