Base requires JRE, period. No table can be created or accessed without
it even if the Base file was created using a spreadsheet as it source. In
versions 1.x, JRE was not always needed for the dbase component to work.
But, in version 2.0.x, JRE is always needed.
As an added thought, creating Impress slides usually involves using a
wizard. Since wizards use JRE, most beginners will need JRE to create
Impress files also.
