Lisa,
Feel free to pick any "published" chapter or other file, follow the
standard operating procedure for reviewing it, and review away.
Many, perhaps all older, chapters that used obsolete templates and
styles or what-not possess some style gremlins that I recently
discovered. Therefore, I've been revisiting the older published files
and eradicating them.
For example, much of the standard text (including headings) for a
chapter should use the Default character style. However, in fact, if you
use the Styles and Formatting window, you could see that, instead, the
styles are really manually overridden /OOoEmphasis /or
/OOOStrongEmphasis /character styles (although it appears OK)--not good.
This was probably caused by various software implementations and styles
used over the past two/three years. If a writer or editor makes a
subsequent character style change to the text, it's possible to have the
subsequent text's style actually change to italics or bold until it
encounters another character style, which is obviously undesired.
Therefore, I had been going through the chapters, changing the wayward
overrides to the standard /Default /character style.
What I'm leading to is this: No chapter is ever completely finished.
Either its writing may possess technical errors, some exposition may
have been omitted, or there may be copyediting errors or typos. So any
"final, published" file is fair game for further
review/editing/proofreading.
I will be putting up for proofreading each and every chapter in the
Writer Guide, starting in a few days. If anybody (one or more) wants to
serve as a proofreader while learning the material, volunteer as a
proofreader. That will discover any hidden errors. I'll post the latest
file's availability on the forum, as it becomes ready for proofing.
Hopefully there will few errors--a desired result which rarely happens...

I want to make sure I'm understanding this process correctly. I went
to the above link (User Guide 2 -> Writer -> Published final -> folder
contents) I see a list of items that most say are Published. Am I
correct in assuming that the Published State means it needs reviewing?
So I just select one, let the list know which one and review it? I did
read the directions on uploading my reviewed file to Feedback, etc. I
just didn't want to check out a file that didn't need reviewing :)
