Hi Gary, That does sound interesting. i could get started this weekend. Did you have sample files for the tutorial or do those need to be made as well?

Hi Elizabeth, I do some work on the /Writer Guide/ (a whole lot less the past couple months, though, due to some two dozen small revenue-generating projects), so I, Jean, and others know that there is always some editing or writing to be done and rechecking for compliance with the latest versions of the suite with its docs. I still would like to have a writer make an omnibus master-docs chapter (or a separate tutorial) where bits of most of the /Writer Guide/ elements (chapters) could be used to demonstrate how an OOo Writer newbie could build a tiny book with one- or two-page chapters along with front stuff, ToC, and index. In essence--a step-by-step tutorial using some already prepared files which the reader could work with and build on. If interested, I could see that you get started and mentor you (and any other volunteers to help you) through the endeavor. Even if I'm busy, I can always take the time/effort to help anyone.
