When you get information that might improve one of the chapters
of any of the guides, you should let others know that what you have
discovered. If it concerns only a small section of the chapter, you
could send that information to this mailing list so that the
maintainer can work with that information. Otherwise, feel free to
download the chapter from the OOo Author site, modify it while making
sure you record your changes. Upload the modified file to the
feedback folder for the guide containing the chapter. Then notify the
list you have done so.
As the maintainer of the Getting Started with Impress chapter, I
was not aware of these criticisms. If I had known, I possibly could
have incorporated the changes in the chapter already.
Jean: I am about to make some major revisions in the Getting
Started with Base chapter. This includes revising the tables,
defining relationships between tables, and creating two forms in the
place of the four presently in this chapter.
