I would like to contribute to the OOo documentation. I can write FAQ's, tutorials, how-to's, and would

Welcome, David!

Database -- Yes! Yes! That is a major area with totally inadequate user-oriented information, at all levels (beginners to advanced). Almost anything you might want to do would be most welcome and would improve the documentation set.

For a big project: No one is working on the proposed OOo Base Guide, and that is the next area in which I was going to be desperately seeking contributors.

On a smaller scale: The existing FAQs on Base are scattered in several places and many of them are very out of date (relating to OOo1.x). They need to be pulled together, updated, and put on the OOo wiki, and new FAQs are needed. That could be a good place to start, but it's up to you.

Or, if you prefer to write tutorials or how-to's, they would be good, too.

So... I'd suggest that you make a suggestion on what you would like to do, based on your time available, knowledge level, writing experience, etc. We have people available to test-drive whatever you produce, improve the graphics (if necessary), and otherwise assist.

Hello

Regarding a Base Guide, if there is anyone interested in working on that and they could use any help - with anything - please accept my offer to help. If you have a question about how to do something with Base, need some examples, some screen shots - anything!

I don't need any type of acknowledgment's for the help - really - none at all.

You can contact me directly or via the lists I don't care. But someone, that can write well, needs to get working on this....PLEASE.

Sincerely

Drew Jensen
