Hello Gary,

I like colours (or colors (-: ) too, as long as they are applied
consistently. If as you suggest we mark in blue the user input I will be
happy to comply.

I am reviewing chapter 9 of the Writer Guide and there blue is used to
indicate what the cross reference text will be as well as to denote user
inputs.
As I wrote before, I would not mind having some guidance in the template and
a character style (so we use only one shade of blue).

Cheers,

Michele

One reason for my bringing up the template and its guide earlier is to encourage writer/editor input for any changes. (I also refer to proofreaders and reviewers as being editors of sorts.) I could simply edit things as I see fit, and others could do likewise. However, it's better that one performing as a copyeditor should have the "rules" and editing conventions spelled out in greater detail via template/style guides or any general-purpose guides, such as /The Chicago Manual of Style/ (15th).

So, others' recommendations for revising or formulating the two major OOoAuthors guides are better than my or somebody else's dictates.

Gary
