Just a quick note, I'm not sure how critical you think it is, but there are some differences in the default options for Tables between OOo 3 and 2.x. Of note, Heading, and its associated Repeat on each page, options are no longer default. Also, the Alignment option under Number recognition isn't selected by default any longer either, meaning that numbers are treated as regular text in cells now, as opposed to aligning to the bottom-right. Oddly, the Insert cell - Column default is now .98" instead of 1.00".

Glancing at Chapter 2 of the WG, the only thing that might need changing is Figure 25, but perhaps not critical. I haven't looked at the GSG though, or whether any of this is mentioned in any detail there.

Thanks,
Sak.

Sorry about the delay in uploading my review of this chapter. I've made some further changes and put the file here: http://oooauthors.org/en/authors/userguide3/writer3/feedback/0202WG-SettingUpWriter_MZ_JHW_20080823.odt/file_view

Turn on show changes to see what I've done. I have NOT gone through the file in detail. In summary:

I amended some bits that I had originally written on language settings and replaced two figures in the same section.

In the section on ODF format version, I cut out a lot of what Michele wrote. It's good information but I think it's not really relevant to this particular place in the book, which IMO really only needs to say what's important about the choice of version, not what's important about OpenDocument as a format. (I suspect my original request to Michele was too vague, suggesting the latter instead of the former.)

Perhaps there is somewhere else in the Writer Guide where the info I cut on ODF would fit? I intend to use what Michele wrote in a new appendix I'm writing for the Getting Started book, to include info I cut out of Ch1 of GS, about the history and licensing of OOo, among other things.
