I'm still setting up my new computer (T.S. Fay killed the old one), with
Vista Home Premium. When I succeed in installing 3.0m4, I'll let you
know if I hit your problems. Meanwhile:
*I/O dialogs* Do both the Vista and OO.o dialogs fail in the same way?
If so, you're probably on the right track, chasing a bad file.
*Downloads* You might want to go the extra mile, and check the md5sums.
I've been seeing a lot of busted downloads, something I never recall
under WXP / FF2. I'm experimenting to narrow down the cause.
