Other than being over-committed on my time, it is difficult to stay current because the templates have changed. At this point, I need to spend time (no idea how much) to figure out the current way to embed images and captions, and the preferred display format, etc.

While looking at the Calc files, I am left guessing as to exactly what needs to be done. It would be nice if we had a workflow engine of some sort (or even something as simple as bugzilla) so that I could login and search to see a list of what speciically needs to be done. Even todo.txt would help.

I can guess by looking at what exists for OOo 3 and then looking back to each of the directories, but this is highly inefficient and still requires that I ask to be sure.

Hark, my 10 month old calleth! Need to run.

Even though hundreds of people are members of OOoAuthors and/or the OOo Documentation Project, very few actually contribute to writing, reviewing, or editing of user-documentation content (whether for books or on the wiki). A few years ago OOoAuthors at least had many more active members.

We've talked a lot (especially on Docs) about how best to provide info (wiki vs books vs ??) -- and that's relevant and important -- but very few people seem to actually produce any content.

I think this is very disappointing, but perhaps there is so much more now available (through community forums as well as third-party books and websites, tutorials and how-tos) and the Help is so much improved, that we don't need so much "official" documentation from the project?
