Snagit is a good product for those using Windows. However, I'm not
sure it's any better than Gimp, at least for our purposes.
On Windows I use Meazure. Which is very handy in use to take snaps
of every area you like.
I hope that I can find something for Linux :-)
In Linux I either use the Gimp or, if I have to make a long serie of
screenshots with area selection, I would use Ksnapshot. More
screenshot tools are appearing though.
