Barbara and Anthony, thank you for your reviews on Chapter 1 of the 
Calc Guide, which have given me several items to verify in addition to 
reminding me that I have some changes of my own to include. Sorry for 
taking so long to get around to this.

Stephen, if you'd like to tackle an update to Ch1, let me know and 
I'll make a list for you of the items I think are out of date and need 
updating, in addition to those that Barbara and Anthony identified. 
And of course anything else you find yourself or perhaps think should 
be added to the chapter. You can have some fun merging all this together.
