[authors] Character style -- Default Paragraph Font

Why is the default font for that character style preset to: HMPDP D+ 
Myriad Pro;Myriad Pro? Why doesn't it just use the font of the paragraph 
style which would contain this character style--something like the "As 
is" selection in FrameMaker?
