I recommend NOT doing the desktop integration (steps 5 & 6 on Dan's list) when you want to install a developer build (3.2) at same time as a stable build (3.1.x). It's not needed and (for me at least) just confuses things. Just remember to open OOo-dev 3.2 manually when you want to use it.
