Well, then you must not place it in the directory in which you run
`configure' on MS-Windows systems, otherwise the program would be
removed and you'd have to rebuild it later on.

Not really. Since the problem would only show up when `a.exe' is in
the current directory, you'd have had to type `./a coke', which isn't
as funny :-) Unless MS-Windows searches `.' by default regardless of
PATH. I seem to recall it does. But does it matter in this case?
