Is possible to run autoupdate on acinclude.m4? I tryed it but it seems like m4 gets stuck in some infinite loop. Both on this FreeBSD box and my other Windows/Cygwin box, with autoconf 2.58 and 2.59 respectively. I didn't let it run more than five minuts on either box but I don't think it should take that much time on 1GHz P3.
