autofs bug report: Am seeing: Jul 23 11:06:47 sadl4467 automount[582]: starting automounter version 3.1.3, path = /pr, maptype = yp, mapname = auto.project Jul 23 11:06:48 sadl4467 automount[545]: >> can't create lock file /etc/mtab~~: No such file or directory (use -n flag to override) Jul 23 11:06:48 sadl4467 automount[545]: /pr: mount failed! Usually, on the first boot after a RH6.0 kickstart, but then never again on subsequent reboots. However, on one cranky old notebook, this became a semi-solid error. Probably difference may be attributed to pcmcia networking? Work around: Insert "sleep 1" as the first line of each of the "while do" lines in /etc/rc.d/init.d/autofs. Also--Both ypbind and autofs are "S93" in RH6.0. ypbind should start first, right? "mv S93autofs S94autofs" Let me know if additional info needed.
