This works fine for us, we are running with autofs-3.1.3-2 and
mount-2.9o-1.
(tigger) # cd /home/eagan
(tigger) /home/eagan # df .
Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
daisy,thistle,orchid,poppy,saffron,palm,aspen:/export/home/eagan
(tigger) /home/eagan # ypmatch eagan auto_home_v2
-ro,soft,noquota
daisy,thistle,orchid,poppy,saffron,palm,aspen:/export/home/&
I forget which piece of code actually handles this in Linux but it does
not work the same way as it does on SunOS 5.x and IRIX 6.5. The last
time I checked under Linux, only the first host listed gets used by
mount, it doesn't mount from the host which responds first like the
existing autofs implementations.
Try getting the latest version of autofs and mount. It's working for
us.
