Folks,
We are running some busy file servers, SMP machines w SCSI disks
and are really having problems with stability and most of our
problems seem to be related to NFS, i.e. we are seeing:
===== (this is the kiss of death -- the system cannot be recovered, have
seen messages that it is related to an flock bug for NFS mounts, but no
details)
Sep 22 10:02:06 lathe kernel: lockd: couldn't bind to server
116.41.99.196 - retrying.
Sep 22 10:02:06 lathe last message repeated 14 times
=== also (which is described as a kernel/patch mismatch -- but no
details
Sep 22 09:57:47 lathe kernel: nfsd_d_validate: invalid address feebbaca
Sep 22 09:57:48 lathe last message repeated 8 times
If anyone can give a solid combination of kernel + patches + knfsd +
autofs
that works well on a busy server (SMP)it would be appreciated!!
