Hi everyone,

I have just released autofs-3.1.5-pre1. This was motivated by the
introduction of "bind" mounts in linux-2.3.99-pre7.7, thanks to
Alexander Viro. This version of autofs v3 will attempt to use "bind"
mounts instead of symlinks when mounting local filesystems. The result
should be as fast as using a symlink, but without the funny path
effects.

I would appreciate it greatly if people would try this prerelease on
both new and old kernels (with and without the "bind" feature); I want
to release a 3.1.5 in relatively short order.

This is a patch against autofs-3.1.4 and is available at:

ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/daemons/autofs/testing-v3/autofs-3.1.5-pre1.patch.gz

Thanks!
