hi kapil

please keep us posted on this issue...
or at least me.... will put the docs and references
into the autofs-HOWTO when the way-past-due updates occur

- guess you can search google for "multi-mounts" or "fail-over" mounts

- i think there are like "automounter howto" --
        - 2 of um in the linuxdoc howto series
and the autofs-howto that somehow never found its way
to the right person to be added

for the multi-mount or is it failover-mounts for /Backup
  - you'd need to compare mounting options for linux vs SunOS
since sunOS does support these 'nice features"...

  - other place to check for clues/help is to check "high-availability"
    howto

wish i had time to go chasing this again...

have fun
alvin
