Hi,
I am Sajan, systems Manager, Analog devices, India. I am in the process of configuring Linux machine into our SUN network - and forcing users to use linux along with Sun!!! (I am using Redhat 6.2)

We maintain a single domain for software division, worldwide.  The automount maps  have multiple entries, and in Sun machines, whichever is fastest gets mounted. Eg., below is a line of a map called proj.

z+     kraken:/proj/hammerhead     netapp:/vol/vol0/ipdc/z+

There are two entries, first (kraken) is in US and second (netapp) in India. But when a user goes to this by saying "cd /proj/z+" , the US link (kraken:/proj/hammerhead) gets mounted in linux whereas in sun systems the latter gets mounted.  Is it possible for me to make the linux work same way as Solaris? Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in Advance .

Sajan
