Hi Ron,

Sorry.  I thought you had seen the traffic.  You have to also
include the autogen-devel package.  They made a very non-obvious
partition.  There is also some funny "rename" thingey that will
allow you to invoke "columns.autogen" as if it were "columns".
Some magic alias thingey.  They said that they did that "just
in case" someone else wrote something called "columns" and then
POSIX blessed it.  ("column" is a BSD program, by the way, that
was written about the same time I wrote "columns".  Unfortunately,
it doesn't have everything I need, so I continue maintaining my
own.)

Anyway, just add the autogen-devel package and if you have problems
with "columns", then you need to use their magic aliasing thing.
