No, I haven't tried CVS automake, but that's not really an option for
this project. It'll be an uphill battle to get my automake-ifying
patches accepted in the first place (to the WINE project), so I'm pretty
much stuck with released versions.
As a side note, it was quite a lot of work to convert WINE's build
system to libtool/automake (mainly due to the sheer mass -- around 115
makefiles!), but I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it went. I did
have my reservations. (c:
