I have corrected the build problems that caused Excalibur to barf when being compiled by JDK 1.4. I propose that until JDK 1.4 is completely released (non beta) we compile with that JDK so the JdbcConnection object will work in any environment. Until then I propose we stick with JDK 1.3. Let me know how it works for you ;)
