Looks good to me. There should be an indication of where the newbies own applications fit in to this, perhaps on the top line next to the web server/beans server/mail client.
I know I'd had a cursory read of Avalon docs a number of times before I realised it was something I could use, the diagram would have told me very quickly.

I've wanted to do this for a while.  The attached diagram shows a
(future) configuration for a particular Phoenix deployment.  Please let
me know what you think.  It terms of a layer diagram is it how you
visualize applications running inside phoenix?

I plan to begin a page that I can refer newbies to.  Hopefully they will
very simply understand why Phoenix is cool - before their attention is
lost - refer "5 second test".
