I got the package, thanks! I'm now trying also to get the
http://divx.euro.ru/binaries-010122.zip files, the win32 things (linked
from http://divx.euro.ru/download.htm). I think its necessary to view
divx avi's as far as I understand. Should I just place it the
/usr/lib/win32/ which I created and hopefully it does it. But again, I
have the same problem trying to get the archive over a snail connection
although I'm using DSL, and then it always gets cut off (couldn't find
the win32 bits at freshmeat.net). The developors of avifile should get
a better server for their page I think. I managed to set up the current
avifile-0.53.5 with a few errors (during install) which I didn't quite
understand. I can however view normal AVI files that I tested although
with a strange effect of the image being upside down and colours
reversed or different from the original. Anyone experienced the same?
