There is a mirror at http://www.toon.eu.org/divx/. I checked just now,
divx.euro.ru is in serious trouble, but from toon.eu.org I'm able
download at 20 kb/s.

Normal = uncompressed? I haven't tried uncompressed AVIs at all.
