Hi,

it's nice to see the progress being made with aviplay lately, the current
speed is great... but unfortunately, I'm still experiencing audio/video
synchronization problems - that is, in and after scenes with lots of
action the sound seems to lag after the image. avifile-0.53.5 didn't have
that problem, but all the 0.6 CVS versions I tried had it to a varying
degree. It bugs me somewhat, because I'm at a subtitling project currently,
and while the positioning speed of avifile is great for it, the lack of
exact a/v sync gives me problems.

(On a related note: Do I really have to quit avifile or reload the movie
each time I change the subtitle file to make the changes to it visible?)

My question: Are the a/v sync problems a known bug? I'd be happy to see them
addressed.

Ah, and another thing: What exactly does the "set CPU quality automagically"
switch do? All I notice is that I get dropped frames when I set it...

TIA,

Hanno.
