For those who are interested in editing movies, the first release of
"streamfactory" is at http://sourceforge.net/projects/avitools/.
It allows you to cut several movies, to join the different parts, or to take
some part of the image for example.
It can also be used as a recompressor since you can easily choose the out
codec and its parameters.
It has a graphical interface too. You can find a screenshot at :
