I downloaded avifile from cvs today and when I run autogen.sh it gives me
these error messages

configure:6307: error: possibly undefined macro: AM_USE_JPEGLIB_TRUE

I ran autoconf with the -v option in hops it help me figure it out but
that gave me a pretty cryptic response :) It adds these two error
messages after the first, and before the second.
autoconf: forbidden: ^m4_|^dnl$|^_?AS_|^_?A[CHUM]_|_AC_
autoconf: allowed: ^AS_FLAGS$
I've tried to look into this, but I don't understand the autoconf build
system and the m4 macros enough to figure out whats going wrong.
When I run configure script it creates it stops with this error
checking for X... ./configure: AC_PATH_X_DIRECT: command not found
./configure: AC_PATH_X_XMKMF: command not found
configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation
and add the correct paths!
Does anyone know whats going wrong here?
