Hmm.. I attempted to compile the cvs version, but under configure:
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
./configure: line 1200: syntax error near unexpected token
`AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE(avifile,'
./configure: line 1200: `AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE(avifile, $VERSION, no-define)'
I guess that AM.. has something to do with automake, but what? Any ideas?
