[Avifile]Compiling on Mandrake Linux 8.1 (most likely similar under 8.0)

After getting the compile to work and a successful installation, the program 
aviplay segfaults immediately /almost/ every time it is run.  I found the 
simple solution to this is compiling it without 3dnow/mmx optimizations.

I suspect this has to do with the hardware optimizations Mandrake has already 
patched into the kernel.
