Never mind, I'll do the MPEG part. ffmpeg already supports mpeg1 and 2 codecs

I know there is already a Quicktime media-something (forgot how they called
it) registered for vorbis, but dunno about fourcc...

The reason I wanna add this to avifile is that it already supports tons of
ways for codecs to be added: ffmpeg, win, directshow, native linux, etc. And
container classes can be programmed separately as well.

Interesting would be support for windows-binary codecs for quicktime. I really
have to do this :-).
