You must run 'make install' at least in plugins/ and bin/ directories before
launching player.

If I run configure with "--disable-x86opt", the compile completes, but
aviplay's gui has no buttons (it does have the slider bars, but no
buttons). Also, when I start it up w/ a file to play (i.e. `player/aviplay
/usr/media/.b/fs_207_home_on_the_remains_mm4_vki_hironimo.avi`) I get the
following messages:
