Hardware: --------- GeForce 1 SDR =================================================================== My problem is that I get frame loss in avifile (in pretty much all the file types). If I run at 2x (or any size), there is notable frame loss and the window refreshes visibly. In Windows these same files play perfectly even in full screen. This happens in other video players too, not just avifile. You can view the avifile and benchmark dumps at http://users.iafrica.com/f/ff/ffkrz/avifile_dump.txt and http://users.iafrica.com/f/ff/ffkrz/benchmark_dump.txt to see the error messages printed. So what I want to know is what the cause of this may be. Possible Causes? ---------------- Nvidia do not supply FreeBSD drivers for the GeForce - could this be the cause? Also, in FreeBSD there is a kernel option which enables VESA (and my kernel doesn't have it enabled). Would this help?
