yes I know - I've never said users should use avirecompress - it's for brave
person and they are supposed to report their problems - even myself I'm still
using VirtualDub

not sure what do you mean by - break - please try avirecompress from CVS
if you could replicate your 'break' - I'd like to see such sample file.
