This is a real downer....

I had a feeling my system was too much messed up, so today, I did a
reinstall (installing debian/testing).

I also installed vorbis/other stuff you need for avifile...

So I ran ./autogensh, (that script did complain about both
configure.ac,and configure.in was present, not that that matters)

afterwards I ran ./configure. And this one choked. it would NOT complete.
In the beginning of configure I got this error:
"./../ltconfig: /dev/null: not a regular file"

before choking it gave me this:
"ltconfig: you must specify a host type if you use '--no verify'"

getting rid of the first complain was just a matter of
changing the line "cache_file=/dev/null" in the configure file.

however.. that one about '--no verify' was still there...

another one I got... that I managed to fix. (could SEEM like a bug, but
who knows..):
"sed: can't read confdefs.h: No such file or directory"

At this point the configure script was in the ./libmmxnow/ dir, atleast
that's what it looked like.

and within the configure script it was refering to confdefs.h (as if it
was in the same dir), instead of ../confdefs.h

anyone else who gets the same stuff??

Thank you very much!
