Cenk,

I'd recommend double, no, triple checking that your QT libraries are 
installed and that the environment variable QTDIR is being set in 
~/.bash_profile (if your using it).

I know that I had trouble before, and once I resolved that the libraries AND 
the headers for QT were from different versions and specified that avifile 
should use the same versions in the ./configure line everything worked okay.

Avifile now works well.
